Tour Description:

Take in the Matterhorn and village of Zermatt at its base, nestled in the Pennine Alps, as well as the famous Jungfrau region in the Bernese Oberland—all in the height of Switzerland’s sunniest season. You’ll go from valleys flush with spectacular wildflowers to cool glacier-coated mountain tops that boast awe-inspiring vistas. And from the base village of Muerren, you’ll have a perfect vantage point to take in the 72 waterfalls of the spectacular Lauterbrunnen Valley.

Tour Cost Includes: Accommodations in 3 star superior and 4 star superior hotels (Links listed on the right), Breakfast and Dinner, Swiss Pass (pass details) - covers trains, buses, streetcars, trams and boats plus entrance into museums. Two hiking options daily moderate and strenuous with options to do shorter versions of hikes.

  • July 9: meet guides in Zürich by 10 a.m. and travel by train to Zermatt
  • July 10 & 11: day-hike mountains above Zermatt
  • July 12: free-day to explore on your own
    July 13 & 14: day-hike mountains above Zermatt
    July 15: travel by train to Muerren with a boat cruise on Lake Thun
  • July 16, 17, 18 & 19: day-hike the Jungfrau region
  • July 20: travel by train to Zürich arriving by 10:30 a.m. or earlier if needed for return flight
